connectai lets you create a profile, add links, connect with others (including via QR/invites), and message.
A. Account & authentication
If you sign in with LinkedIn (or other providers), we receive basic account identifiers (e.g., name, email, profile photo) and any data you authorize via OAuth.
B. Profile & links you provide
Profile content you enter (headline, bio, offer/ask, skills) and the links you add (e.g., LinkedIn, website, calendar).
C. Connections, QR/invites, and messaging
Connection requests/acceptances, QR tokens (or invite codes), messages, and related metadata needed to deliver the feature.
D. Push notifications
If enabled, we store a device push token to send notifications.
E. Usage & diagnostics
Basic analytics and error logs (e.g., app events, crashes) to operate and improve the service.
Provide the service (auth, profiles, links, QR/invites, messaging, notifications).
Keep the service secure (fraud/abuse prevention, rate-limiting).
Improve reliability and user experience (analytics, debugging).
Comply with legal obligations.
If you use AI features (e.g., generating a bio from your inputs), we send the necessary text to our AI provider to produce the output. By default, OpenAI API data is not used to train models unless you opt in (as described by OpenAI).
We may store prompts/outputs and usage totals to provide the feature, enforce limits, and troubleshoot.
We share information only as needed:
Service providers (hosting/database, push notification delivery, analytics/error monitoring, AI processing).
With other users: you're visible to authenticated users as configured in your privacy settings.
Legal/safety: if required by law or to protect users and the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Edit your profile and links anytime in the app.
Export or delete your data/account: use in-app controls if available or email us at support@connectai.work.
Push notifications: disable in device settings.
We use reasonable safeguards and access controls (including database row-level access controls) to protect data, but no system is 100% secure.
We keep data as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify data within a reasonable period except where retention is required.
connectai is not intended for children under 13.
We may update this policy. We’ll post the updated version with a new effective date.
